A few comments from our guest book and helpx reviews....
"I have learnt so many things about animals, vegetables, fruit and working in a farm in general. I have learnt a lot of Australian culture, thank you for telling me all those things. I have really enjoyed staying here! You are so nice people and you make me feel that I'm part of your family. The food has been delicious and fresh. I think it will be difficult to go back to 'backpacker' food again. One of the highlights was when I went to swim to the dam in the forest at the same time a kangaroo came there to swim! What an awesome experience! "

"To be honest I came here a bit randomly, it was on my way, and I wanted a farming experience. I love the fact that you are farming for your own consumption, "farm for living', at a natural and human scale. Patricia, thank you for your great and healthy Tucker! Thank you for having me in your home and sharing a bit of true Aussie family life. Also for the great talks we had, I learnt a lot. Mike, Thank you for being such a thoughtful gentle and funny old bastard!! You have been very kind and caring with me, and with simple words like "Bonjour", you made my stay with you surely one of my best memories in Australia."

"Being here gave me a glance at a life I have never known and it reminded me of my grandparents farm life, that I regret not to have experienced enough."

"I don't think I've laughed so much. You've taught me so much since I arrived, hopefully I will learn lots more. Last night with the stars was amazing, trips through the bush to see kangaroos and catch yabbies, great fun."

"Thank you so much for making my last time in Australia to something special. I enjoyed being surrounded by so many lovely animals.... especially all the Babies! Thank you for your warmth and caring hospitality. I am very impressed by your sustainable lifestyle and how much you know about growing veggies and fruits, building furniture (and kitchens) and making almost everything by yourselves. It was great to try the shooting and I had a lot of fun at the gun club! Thank you, Patricia, for the delicious food everyday especially the good bread with crust! I'm very jealous of your amazing view into the valley. I would put it into my backpack if I could!"

"I spend two months in this farm and today, the biggest feeling I have is an accomplishment type of feeling. Why? Because Mike and Patricia knows how HelpX works and they give you the feeling that what you do in the farm is very important and you can see day after day that you really help them and not just 'work'. I loved to see the excitement and the 'lights' in their eyes when we finished a fence or another thing because each work was useful and I learnt a lot of different jobs."

"We spent 2 weeks in Mike & Patricia place and it was 2 weeks unforgettable for us.
Mike & Patricia are two lovely and extraodinary person. They are very interesting. We learnt a lot of things in their home (work, humain, relationship, way of life...).
Patricia is a marvellous home made cooker. And Mike a really good shooter in the carabine and a really good driver ;-)
Their little farm is a peacefull place, we really spent happy days.
We don't know what say of more unless we miss this place and people there !!!! So if you're lucky you could be have the chance to be welcoming by Mike & Patricia and have the chance to help them in their farm."

"I spent a really great time with Mike and Patricia! I discovered the real life in the bush and I learned a lot about farming, gardening and how to grown your own food and also how to store it! And I ate them, it's so delicious :)
Your caravan is comfy and the food is delicious, the fresh bread and cookies are wonderful. Mike will share his passion for shooting and I was lucky to try shooting in a club.
The animals are friendly and it's a nice time to feed them and take care of them. They explain everything about them and the vegetables garden, there is all the time something to learn.
I really enjoyed when we did bonfires and drank homemade beers with the amazing view around!
Definitely a place to stay if you want to learn heaps of things to do with your two hands to be self-sufficient.
All the best for the future!"

"What a great place to stay! A wonderful way to experience Aussie culture: spiders, sun and shootin'!
We were very comfy in our own caravan and there was always lots of delicious food to feed our ravenous stomachs, and the company couldn't have been more pleasant :)
too bad our stay had to be cut short due to illness, as this family has so much to teach and share with aspiring farmers and self-sufficients like us. Blessings to you all!"

"The farm was definately a work hard and play hard ethic, and every day is worth while. I just loved our chilling out of an evening and the interesting & varied conversations we all had (its amazing what discussions come up during morning or afternoon tea...especially when Mike bursts in to tell us the penelope has had 7 piglets so we all rush off to meet them)
Its so great to be part of a project (and a family) where each person has such an input that will stay on the farm for years to come... hand prints on the caravan :)
Thank you for sharing with us all the beautiful parts of your lifestyle. Ive had such a great experience that Ill be back again, in fact I might never leave once I come back :)
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is wanting a true experience, to learn heaps of new skills and have lots of fun.
Thankyou for the everything. . Especially teaching me how to brew beer hehe!
Wishing you all the best for the future and no doubt il see you very soon :)"
